Symposium of the Danish Microbiological Society 2010

Description: This symposium of the Danish Microbiological Society is a local Danish meeting in which all scientists working in different areas covered by the DMS have a chance to meet each other. Besides the oral and poster presentations, the meeting will give scientists the possibility of getting acquainted with the newest laboratory equipment and consumables presented by the companies in a technical exhibition.

Deadlines: October 15th, 2010.
Fee: The fee for attendance at the Symposium is DKK 600. This includes the symposium dinner at the historic university building “Gimle”, as well as lunch and coffee breaks during the day. Members of the society pay a discounted fee of DKK 400. Membership for all of 2011 can be obtained at the same time as registration for DKK 200. Please provide your institution’s EAN number during registration for easy electronic payment.
50 stipends are available for Master students who present a poster and are student members of DMS. This gives free access to the symposium including the dinner. The application for stipends can be found at www.dmselskab.dk and should be submitted by October 15th.

Nanoparticles in the Environment

Aims:
Nanotechnology is a new and emerging field with many promising future application. The symposium 'Nanoparticles in the Environment' will look at both the advances of nanotechnology, and its side effects on the environment and human health. The main focus will be directed towards PhD students, tutors, MSc student in environmental chemistry, microbiology and toxicology and other interested parties. Participating students will be able to receive 2.5 ECTS credits upon completion of a small workshop. The latter will incorporate elements of knowledge attained from the talks given by academic and industry professionals, along with recent journal publications in the field.

10th Danish Symposium in Analytical Chemistry - DanSAK10

Description: The symposium will focus on:
- Chemometrics integrated in analytical chemistry
- DESI & MS
- Impurities in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)
and formulated products
- GMO analysis and sampling
- New techniques in analytical chemistry
Presentations and posters are in English.
Presentations of any aspects of analytical chemistry are of course welcome and will be included as long as there are free slots in the program.
