Agricultural soils are the recipients of a number of organic compounds that pose threats to the environment. Soil bacteria can, in some cases, degrade these compounds. CREAM (Center for Environmental and Agricultural Microbiology), a collaborative effort involving KU-Life, KU-Farma and GEUS, works for enabling better bioremediation strategies.

Further information may be obtained from Professor Barth F. Smets on tel. ( ) or CREAM center leader, Professor Jan Sørensen, KU-Life on tel. ( ).
