Conference "Linnaeus ECO-TECH '10" - 16.05.2010

Aim: Kalmar Eco-Tech is based on the concept of develop­ment and establishment of cooperation between the academic sector, the business sector and policy ma­kers with the purpose of improving interdisciplinary cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region and the World. The objective is to promote cost-effective environ­mental friendly technologies towards sustainability. The main goal of the Conference is to increase the knowledge and research in the area of environme­ntal science and environmental engineering with particular focus on environmental chemistry and furthermore to discuss and promote the research cooperation between Baltic scientists and scientists from the rest of the World. A special attention shall be devoted to emissions to the air from different solid waste and wastewater treatment and remedia­tion systems.

Description: Linnaeus Eco-Tech’10 now offers a new session called: Waste-Cluster Session, an initiative proposed by the Euro­pean Commission.
WASTE CLUSTER Initiatives focus on the creation of an in­ternational balanced network of (regional) waste manage­ment-related clusters, for mutual learning and exchange of knowledge, skills and technologies that will lead to an optimisation of waste management-related innovation and competitiveness excellence in Europe and Mediterranean countries.
On November 24, the conference invites you to be part of a special cluster-evening where you have the chance to mingle with the Waste-Cluster participants, invited compa­nies from the Baltic Sea Region and representatives from the region. The objective is to create new project ideas in cooperation.

Fee: 5 500 SEK (full participation including two hotel nights, all meals, coffee breaks, gala dinner and a copy of the Proceedings of the conference).
