Soil Interfaces in a Changing World - 6 th International Symposium of Interactions of Soil Minerals with Organic Components and Microorganisms - 26.04.2010
Time: 26th June - 1st July 2011
Location: Montpellier, France
Description: ISMOM (International Symposium on Interactions of Soil Minerals with Organic Components and Microorganisms) is a series of international
symposia organised by sub-division 2.5 (Soil chemical, physical and
biological interfacial reactions) of the International Union of Soil
Sciences (IUSS, formerly the Working Group MO, Interactions of soil
minerals with organic components and microorganisms of the International
Soil Science Society, ISSS).
Aim: The aim of the symposia is to create a
forum for exchange and discussion between scientists from different
fields of soil science: chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics,
ecology and environmental science.
This symposium will attract scientists from every continent working on
various facets of soil interfaces. Registration fees will be as low as
possible and all-inclusive (lunches, coffee breaks, mid-week trip, gala
dinner and welcome cocktail will be included). Special rates will be
offered for students. Low cost accommodation will be available. Funding
will be found for bursaries for students and scientists from
under-funded countries. There will not be parallel sessions, and
generous periods will be allotted to poster presentations and discussions.
