EnviroSymp 2011: Environmental Chemistry and health - The Science Behind The Headlines - 21.10.2011

Description: The aim of the symposium is to focus on some of the research areas within “Environmental Chemistry and Health” having made big headlines within the last three to four years. Invited speakers and themes of their talks:
· Marianne Glasius (Aarhus University): Air pollution from wood stoves
· Ulla Hass (DTU): Endochrine disrupters
· Carsten Suhr Jacobsen (GEUS): Pesticides in the groundwater
· Karsten Arnbjerg-Nielsen (DTU): Climate change and urban storm water
The symposium will be directed towards PhD and MSc students in Environmental Chemistry, Biology, Ecotoxicology, and other interested disciplines, but we also hope to see many postdocs and supervisors.
Credits: 2 ECTS credits upon participation in both the symposium and the workshop. In order to get the 2 ECTS credits you should:
- Submit an abstract (some will be selected for oral presentations)
- Prepare a poster and a short (2 minutes) oral presentation of it
- Read preparatory material
Fee: There is a registration fee of 350 DKK per person in order to cover meals and refreshments.
